We finally had all the pine trees (11 of them) cut down from our small backyard. We left one lone Cherry tree and plan to lay sod and plant something pretty in the back while leaving some room for Emily and Whistler to play. We have the lot behind our house, but would love to have some room in our own yard. Plus, the pine straw was clogging the gutters and just generally "yucky"

They did provide a lot of shade

Wow! That was a lot of trees for one backyard! And you're right--it lets in so much more light! You'll enjoy that. :o)
Glad Emily and Whistler will have room to play now...and that Tom can stretch out, too! lol.
