Emily still loves her cast. I have a feeling that we will have a little meltdown when it is cut off on the 16th. She just loves it that much. I, on the other hand, can't wait to get it off. It already has a smell and there is no telling how much pine bark and dirt she has shoveled in at her school playground. We started off using plain plastic bags but then she still had to keep it out of the water. We found out about waterproof gloves (she calls it a flipper because it is so long on her) and bought one. This glove basically vacuum seals and can even go into the pool! Wonderful invention. Now if they would only invent a way to clean the arm under the cast......

You're right--she probably will have a little meltdown. You can just keep it and let her sleep with it! ;o)
