So Thankful

This year we were continuously blessed by God and are so thankful for His love. We began 2009 as a family of 3, hoping to add a child to our home. We were triple blessed when we welcomed 3 babies in September. We were also blessed to welcome my parents into our home! This Thanksgiving, we visited with family here in Tuscaloosa. Tom's brother and his wife (Dwight and Judy) came up on Thanksgiving day. Then on Saturday, Tom's sister and her husband (Gail and Ruben) and our niece and nephew (Hal and Charlene) came to visit. Hal and Charlene brought our great nieces Evelyn and Millie. We also had a visit from my aunt and uncle (Tommy and Donna) and GG too! We had a wonderful time with everyone

Mighty Tsunamis!

Emily played soccer this Fall with the YMCA. We initially signed her up for the all girls league but not enough girls signed up so she was on a co-ed league. However, she turned out to be the only girl on her team. No problem for her, she LOVED being able to hang out with the boys. Although she is not yet a star player, she had fun and asked to play again in the Spring. Her coaches were great and so were the rest of the team! This past Sunday, they had a soccer party and the team got trophies. Her team name was the Tsunamis!

Green Eggs and Ham

My mom has always tried to make eating fun for all of us. She used to put food coloring in my food when I was little to get me to eat food I said I didn't like. She started this back up with my cousins and is now doing it for her grandchildren. Emily has been reading Green Eggs and Ham and wanted to try that. So, mom and dad cooked up green eggs and ham and added some blue grits and red biscuits! So much fun:)

Halloween Fun!

This year Emily decided to dress up as a police officer. She then decided (in typical 4 year old fashion) that mommy and daddy should dress up as her prisoners. The babies had pumpkin costumes that just happened to have black and white striped onesies underneath so she called them pumpkin prisoners:) We took all 4 kids (that still sounds weird to me) to UA's sorority row trick or treat on Thursday night. This was our first time out with all 4 at the same time (mom and dad stayed home to rest up). While difficult to get them all out and there, we did have fun. Ran into a lot of friends and met 2 other families with triplets that were older than ours-so now we know we will survive this time of complete exhaustion! On Friday, Emily's class had a Fall Party and my dad (Papa) was asked to come carve a pumpkin and go trick or treating with them at a nearby office building. Emily asked him to dress as a prisoner too and of course Papa said yes:) On Friday, Emily and I went to a Fall Kids Concert at church. An amazing kids artist, Brent Weber, sang and entertained the kids for the night. Emily had so much fun dancing to the songs. Then on Saturday, we were happy to have lots of visitors! Aunt Donna and Uncle Tommy, GG (Great Grandma), PawPaw, Shirley and Nancy came to visit. On Sunday, we received a special visit from the Great Pumpkin. In our house, if we leave all of the Halloween Candy out on the porch for the great pumpkin, he leaves wonderful gifts. Emily is allowed to have two pieces of candy but the rest is given out to the great pumpkin (trick or treaters) later in the evening. This year, he brought pajamas and books! We had SO much fun all week!

BABIES

The babies arrived on September 9, 2009 at 3:17, 3:18, and 3:19 AM. I made it to 35 weeks and 4 days which was longer than expected. While John and Shelby went home with me, Norah had to stay in the NICU for 27 days. She arrived home on October 4! Here are just a few of the pics we have taken over the last month

Okay, here is the latest picture of my belly. I am now officially at 8 months! Hoping to go to 9 but will take a picture on the day I have them (if I am able). I am also posting last month's picture so you can see the difference. I don't look as peppy this month as I have a nasty sinus infection right now. I am also feeling a little achy and tired but trying to stay positive!

Emily's photo shoot!

Each year, we get pictures made for Emily's birthday. So, yesterday we headed out for her 4 year old pictures. Mom and I picked one outfit and she picked the second-John Deere of course! She did a good job with her pictures. Here are some of my favorites (sorry, there are quite a few but it was hard to pick!)
