Playhouse Disney Live

Well, we FINALLY went to the show. I bought the tickets in October and waited to tell her this week. Good thing, because she asked about it several times a day for a week. This is why we are not telling her about the babies yet...

Anyway, the weather held out and we headed to Birmingham for the show. We had close tickets so we could see the action clearly. It last about an hour and a half with a short intermission. She was so excited that she sat on the edge of her seat the whole time-except when she was up dancing:) She knows these shows by heart so it was funny to see what she thought about seeing them in person. She was a little concerned that Daisy Duck and Pluto were missing and Darby's dog Buster, but I explained that they were tired today (oh, the lies we parents tell)

We couldn't get a ton of pictures because it was so dark and flash was not allowed. So, we took what we could and here they are

Emily's Big Girl Bike

We finally traded Emily's tricycle for a big girl bike with training wheels. She was starting to hit her knees on the trike handles when she rode. Her school is doing a bike-a-thon for St. Jude Hospital so we thought we'd get her used to a bike before April 3. She picked this one out of SO many we looked at and the helmet too. She is fast on it except going up hill. Still need to build some leg muscles but doing great!
I am so proud of my growing "baby"

updates on Munchkin #1

I apologize for the lack of pictures and posts but needless to say life has been crazy lately. I hope to add some in the next week. Nothing too exciting going on lately, just school/work and home.

However, I will let you know about some of the "funnies" that have been going on. We have convinced Emily that she has a third baby (not just her two) and she named it Scratchit (after a cell phone game!). She still does not know I am pregnant so I guess she just wonders why mommy is growing a big belly:)

Lately, she has decided that she needs to sleep no later than 6. She comes to our room to get her muffins and juice (which we keep there for her every morning) and then she goes back to her bed to watch tv. After about 10 minutes, she likes to come in and ask "Have you seen my daddy anywhere?". I point her to the lump on the bed and she proceeds to go "talk" to daddy. She goes on and on about everything she can think of with Tom responding "uh huh". Then, she asks "how was your day at work daddy?" prompting Tom to actually have to converse. I just lay there listening and trying not to laugh out loud at some of her stories! She is a character.

She has recently decided that she no longer needs to go to school and needs a "sick day". This comes from a cartoon and I think I should write the show. I mean, she is only 3 1/2 and already trying to skip! She comes up with some good reasons-headache, tummyache, cold, cough, and her latest is "I'm allergic". Not to anything specific, just allergic in general. Not sure where she got that either as her testing was negative for allergies. This morning, she hit her leg (again!) and said she needed a bandaid. I said "oh, I think you'll live" and she looked at me with the most dramatic face and said "I don't want to live". DRAMA QUEEN!

Well, hopefully I will have some new pics soon as we are headed to Heflin this weekend for Lela's birthday. I hope to have a video of the sonogram coming this Thursday too! I am still amazed at God's handiwork as I watch these babies grow so fast!

SNOW!

Well, it hasn't happened in a few years but we finally got snow in Tuscaloosa! Although it was wet and slushy, it was still snow and Emily got to throw snowballs. Unfortunately, our winter weather is not waterproof and her little hands were freezing before long in her wet cloth gloves. But, she had fun and so did we. Here are some pictures after the first round of snow. We came in and it continued to snow hard for about an hour! Beautiful white and peaceful...a good day for relaxing!

Just threw a snowball and thought that was great!
