Life at home...

Here are just some random shots of Emily at home. She LOVES puzzles and is really good at them. I was surprised when she picked up a brand new 24 piece puzzle and put it together alone in about 5 minutes! We have puzzles all over the house most of the time because she says they need to "dry". Don't know why yet, but she insists. So, they sit for awhile and then we convince her to clean up and start over the next day.

She has also really enjoyed playing hide and seek, especially with Daddy. He counts VERY slowly and she giggles the whole time. The picture below with her head under the table is her very best hiding spot=0

She still enjoys playing more with cars than dolls but has started to let me "dress her up" a bit. I took the picture with the headband before church one morning. Needless to say, right after church the headband was off and her Handy Manny pjs were on for the day. Can't win them all..

She just started taking all of her allergy medicine again since we couldn't get over the runny nose and itchy eyes without it. No asthma treatments for some time so we are praying that is in the past. She had to have her flu shot this past week and since she was able to watch Caillou on my IPod, she barely cried (Thanks goodness for technology!)

At school, she is starting to enjoy coloring and is actually staying in the line. Those of you that know my artistic ability (or lack of) will understand how amazing this is to me. She is also READING! They have her reading sight words. Her first book was "Big" and talked about "A big house","A big car", etc. She can actually recognize the word Big-I am just amazed! She can say the Pledge of Allegiance, name the seasons and sang a song for her class. I am just so happy that her ever present shyness is slowly fading. She is so much fun to be around when she isn't hiding from us. Maybe one day I can video her singing (which she does often) but for now, she clams up at the sight of a camera.
