Egg Hunt
Emily and Lela were invited to the Georgia Governor's Mansion for the annual Easter Egg Hunt this year. This was the first hunt of the year for Emily and she was so excited about going. Apparently so many kids came that they didn't have enough eggs for everyone to have a basketful. So, they asked that everyone pick up 4 eggs only. Emily picked up the first 4 she saw and said "done, what's in them?" We then went to have her face painted. My precious angel wanted a football but got an easter egg instead-such a tomboy she is. Then we did an egg roll. Emily did not understand the directions and picked her egg up and ran to the finish. Lela did it right but it took awhile:) Emily then got to meet her most favorite bunny, Miffy. Miffy was all that could keep Emily's attention and keep her from crying when she was about a year old. It was like an old friend returning-Emily was SO happy to see her. Then we saw the Easter Bunny, ate some cookies, and listened to a story on the story quilt. When she started reading, it was about a mommy bunny going to have a baby. But when little bunny gets to the hospital, there are 3 bunnies! What a perfect story for Emily! They also handed out the books for free so we made sure to get a copy of that book to read. All in all, Emily had a fun day and slept great all the way back to Heflin.

I love the little story that the bunny told. You're right - it's a great story for Emily and I am glad to hear that you got a copy.
Cute! And I can't believe that was the story that was told! How perfect!
